What is a Simple Consensus Workshop?

The simple consensus workshop method includes four steps.

  1. A group brainstorms ideas or responses, which are shared one at a time and posted to a shared space.
  2. The group clusters the ideas by related themes or concepts.
  3. The group names each of the clusters.
  4. The group reflects on what they now see.
  5. This technique works in many situations to help create a shared understanding of a space and build consensus around priorities. It is very similar to the KJ Technique.
